Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of this website. They do not cover an installation agreement — that is a separate written contract, and nothing on this site creates one.

Estimates are not quotes

Every savings figure, system size, cost range, and payback period on this site is a planning estimate produced by a model. The model uses published utility rates, regional irradiance data, and standard system derating assumptions, all of which are disclosed on the calculator itself.

Actual production and savings depend on your roof orientation and pitch, shading, equipment selection, your specific rate schedule, how your household uses power through the day, and utility program terms that can change. Nothing on this site is a guarantee of savings or a binding offer.

A binding price comes only from a written proposal prepared after we have reviewed your actual usage and surveyed your property.

Incentives and tax matters

Information about tax credits, rebates, and utility programs is general and reflects our understanding at the time of writing. Programs change, funding runs out, and eligibility varies by utility territory and by household.

We are not tax advisors. Confirm how any incentive applies to your own tax position with a licensed tax professional before relying on it in a purchase decision.

Contracting work

All installation work is performed under a separate written home improvement contract that complies with California law, including the disclosures and cancellation rights required by the Contractors State License Board.

Warranties on equipment are provided by the manufacturers and are subject to their terms. Workmanship warranties, where offered, are stated in your installation agreement.

Use of this site

You may use this site for your own informational purposes. You may not scrape, republish, or resell its content, including the city and utility data compiled here.

We work to keep the information accurate and current, but we make no warranty that it is error-free or complete, and we are not liable for decisions made solely on the basis of a page on this website.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.
